Left: Yogurt and Oatmeal Soap Right: Watermelon Sugar Soap (first time using a FO and mica colorants)
Does anyone have any advice on how to prevent the mica lines from running when cutting soap?

I was wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a fragrance oil that is a dupe of Cashmere Woods by Glade that is phalate free and vegan. Thank you!

Hello! I'm an enthusiast of the hobby, I'm curious what everyone's favorite recipes are, why they keep making it, and how it feels on the skin.
Like, every time you use that formula, it's just you and your soap. One thing that stands out against the other soaps you guys have made.
Curious to know everyone's answers!

Trying to figure out how to make a shaving cream soap bar and want to know what number should the steric acid(I'm getting 8 to 15 not sure about that) be at and how to translate the lye to use 60% KOH and 40%NaOH because it doesn't calculate that

I am based in the UK and am just in the beginning of my homesteading journey. I would like to be able to make homemade soaps with herbs/plants grown in my own garden so would like advice on what to grow? I already have rosemary, lavender and mint which I will make my own oil with for soap and candles.

First batch of soap is now complete! Unfortunately it accelerated WAY too fast, I could barely mix it after maybe 60 seconds of pouring the lye water in to the oils. Was the heat of the oils too hot? For hard oils I melted down shea butter and coconut oil so I’m thinking I didn’t give them enough time to cool? There’s also some white specks in there which I’m assuming is titanium dioxide that didn’t fully mix. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi why would one supplier (nature in bottle) have an IFRA conformity statement sheet that states its steam distilled dalmation sage EO has a max usage for category 9 of 33% while Brambleberry has a much lower max usage rate of 3% for its steam distilled version of the same oil. Why the huge discrepancy?
