EDIT: some people in the comments have raised valid concerns about the dangers of inhaling alcohol vapors. I decided to POUR BOILING WATER down the drain everyday until they’re gone. It’s simple and fast enough. Also, dish soap + water mix in spray bottle seems safer.
I don't dilute the alcohol. I spray the suckers as I see them and they immediately drop, even if mid-flight. When they're disoriented on the floor/surface I whack them with a fly swatter. I saved myself the chore of going to amazon and buying those fruit fly traps, or trying to make the solution on my own. Cheapest solution ever ..read more

So I recently moved into an apartment with a fridge freezer that smelled a bit. It wasn't anything horrendous just a subtle kind of smell. Like a mixture of stale food/drink mixed with some generic cleaning product that the landlord clearly lightly used beforehand.

Or when should I remove it? I just want to make sure I get these nasty little things away since they're all over my floors and they keep crawling on m ..read more

Have a partner or family member who's difficult to shop for? Tell them you already got them a gift well ahead of time and prompt them to guess what the gift might be. If they play ball, they'll give you some reasonable ideas for gifts they probably won't hate!
And if they do hate it, at least it might be a fun joke to reveal how you got the idea.

I've used soap/water/scrub brush, and that did SOME good, but my wife wants it totally gone. Only issue is no bleach, which would damage the rock, and she wants something organic/nontoxic.
