Traditionally in France, during the month of January, everyone eats “Galette des Rois”, a distant version of the New Orleans King’s cake. A Galette is made of layers of flaky, buttery puff pastry filled with almond cream. It is traditional to bake a “fève” (ceramic figurine) in the Galette.
