Casual use and work mode it's not a problem. I'm usually not clicking up there. But when I'm gaming if I click on it, it minimizes the game. Annoying especially if you're in the middle of some action submitted by /u/ElGrandrei [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

"Alt Gr" not working?

Hi, this is definitely not a question that needs answering ASAP, I'm more so just curious as to why it's not working. I have acquired a "new" keyboard and have been made aware of the Alt Gr key, but when I try to use it, it doesn't seem to be doing anything. I've tried typing in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word and Google Docs, all of which don't seem to utilise the Alt Gr key at all. I've tried pressing L-Shift, Caps lock and Alt Gr simultaneously, but that didn't fix the issue. I've also unplugged the keyboard and plugged it back in as well as killing all the G HUB processes (for my previous keyb ..read more

Redirecting a HTTPS URL to a different, HTTP URL

I'm new to Reddit, so I'm not even sure if this is the correct subreddit to ask this question. If it isn't, please redirect me. If it is, here's the deal: I'm currently using a Windows 10 PC for gaming. It's an online game and it gets the assets from different URLs. After running into some issues with specific textures not loading, I found out that my ISP blocks my connection to https://assets-server-example.com/assets/example However, it turns out that I still can access http://assets-fallback-server-example.com/assets/example which is under a different IP address, but it's the same director ..read more

Customizing start-of-day window location

Every morning, when I log in to my computer, I open the same apps and windows. I'd like to make this automatic, or perhaps one key stroke. Ideally, I'd like to have the windows open the correct websites and other things inside, but I'd settle for a start that just puts the apps/windows in the right places, on the right displays, and at the right size. I think I could do everything with AHK, but, then, if I change anything, it would ruin the whole script. That's why I was thinking I'd start with the window placement/sizing thing... and worry about actually operating the software (sign ins etc ..read more

BSOD: "SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION" and "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" (Help)

Just got both of these errors within ~1h of each other. Both times it was in a middle of a League of Legends game. I was also on a call in Discord. I've never had this issue before and I have not made any significant changes to my computer except adding 2 sticks of RAM about a month ago. I want to take care of this issue asap before this becomes a recurring issue. Any clues as to what could have caused these? submitted by /u/not_blob [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Disabling one monitor
Reddit » Windows 10

I have two monitors and one TV. Right now, whenever I want to watch something from my PC on my TV, I unplug the two monitors from the GPU and plug in the TV. This is because I have a low to mid-end PC and don't want my GPU to waste processing power displaying two monitors or one TV whenever I use one setup or the other. Is there any way for me to disable output to those ports, basically tricking the GPU into thinking I have unplugged said port? (I have an AMD GPU so doing anything in nvidia control panel is not an option for me) submitted by /u/BotWally01 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
