I’m moving to Seattle soon for college and would like to have a bank that has easy access to an atm, extremely secure, interest buildup on the savings account, and a nice mobile app. I’ve gone through Chase, but just wasn’t a big fan of it as there’s not many benefits that apply back to me compared to my savings bank that builds up my money in the account. The title pretty much says it all but to give some context as to why I’m so confused would be the timeline. On April 18th (Thursday), I made a payment to Synchrony CareCredit. Up until probably the 23rd, my banking app had the payment as processing but that day, it had the payment refunded despite having the funds being available in my account. I received a check earlier this week for some freelance work and after Mobile depositing into my capital one account. I noticed something fishy about it. The check did not match the name of the company that I was supposed to be doing work for. So i called the company that Hired me directly. They did not employ the Man who Had hired me. This is really dumb. I'm young and rarely use money, but I get paid from my work through this app called ADP, and I have always received a check to deposit my money, so this was new to me. Basically, when it told me to enter my routing and account number, I didn’t read the directions and saw a picture of a check, so I thought I had to enter the number that’s at the bottom of my old deposit check.
