Obviously sneakers/tennis shoes are one option and there are many types of those, but do you have any go-tos in other styles? Boots? Clogs? Loafers?

I've been thinking about this question for a while and I have to say that I'm not sure I've come up with any hard-and-fast rules to follow. I design, draft, and sew my own patterns, and I'm currently trying to figure out how to make work-appropriate pants that are neither too formal nor too casual. I thought about posting in the sewing sub but this is really a fashion question!
Characteristics in contention:
Fabric: Any heathered gray fabric is giving "sweatpants," regardless of whether it's wool, silk, baby vicuña, whatever. Denim obviously reads as "jeans," unless.... it's super dark was ..read more

Noticed that quite a few posters and comments, particularly from the U.S., tend to be quite down on wearing hosiery as part of smarter office wear. In the UK and the rest of Europe, if you are wearing a smarter skirt or dress in the office, or a skirt suit etc, its very common and perhaps considered more appropriate to wear (smarter) tights or stockings rather than go bare-legged - unless its a hot day. Is the U.S. a lot less formal in this regard than Europe, or is it just me, and does FFA think hosiery should generally be worn?

What’s your go-to choice for coverage underneath?
Are you using shapewear? Athletic shorts? Boxer briefs? Men’s underwear? What colors? Have you found something that’s tight enough to to stay in place but not too tight to ruin a smooth body line and gouge out circulation to your thighs? What materials are most comfortable when you inevitably have to peel them off on a hot humid day? Have you found the perfect pair that protects against thigh rub and stays in place? Are you wearing underwear underneath?
It’s tough out there trying to look and feel as breezy as a summer dress does. The US summe ..read more

WAYWT is the acronym for "What Are You Wearing Today". It doesn't necessarily need to be what you were wearing TODAY.
Post a photo of what you wore. For ease of browsing, please post the image or link directly to it (not imgur albums, Instagram, or other URLs). If you are a blogger, double-check our FFA Rules ('On Blogger Participation') to ensure you aren't in violation.
Include what the attire is for (work, school, home) and if applicable, what your fashion goals are (e.g. "I want to look professional," "I'm experimenting with loose-loose silhouettes")
