Hi Friends! I’m excited to share with you a project that’s not only dear to my heart but also brimming with fun and some mixed media too! Not long ago I mentioned in one of videos that I hang on to the paper towels leftover from my watercoloring – these make amazing backgrounds for cards and all sorts of projects! I had a lovely comment from Laura on my last YouTube video, “Watercolor Easter Cards” about using the leftover cross mask for a card: So that’s exactly what I did to make this card: Here’s how I made this card: Run 4″ x 5 1/4″ Moody Mauve card stock through Zinnia embossing folder. Lightly swipe Versamark across the top of the embossed card stock. Sprinkle with Heat & Stick Powder, set with Heat Tool and rub Gilded Leafing on top. Brush off excess. Hi Friends! I believe it’s safe to say that “Spring has sprung!” here in Nova Scotia (crossing my fingers I don’t jinx Mother Nature with that statement, haha!). Hi Friends! Yesterday I had a play with some items that have been sitting on my desk and what fun I had! One of the items I wanted to use was the “Layered Florals” embossing folder, which I had inked with my markers well over a week ago, but didn’t get any further than that. So I spritzed the folder with a bit of water, ran my paper through my Die Cut & Emboss Machine, and then added some gilded leafing. I am obsessed with the “Reverse Embossing Technique”. It’s such a simple technique but it sure packs a big WOW factor!
