Recently, the communities of Mbossedji and Yougouré built their first poultry sheds, completing the next step towards developing self-sufficiency. Through training and assistance from CREATE!’s technicians, cooperative members can pursue their shared economic ambitions.

This year, five of our partner communities achieved a huge milestone in their self-development programs when they started poultry raising projects. CREATE!’s community development programs focus on improving access to water, increasing food security, and creating more income generational opportunities. Raising poultry is one of the last projects, which means these communities are well on their way to become self-sustainable!

Recently, five of our partners communities started building their poultry sheds in the first quarter of 2019. In our 5-year development model, poultry raising is one of the later projects. This is a big milestone for the communities of Wereyane, Santhie, Mboss, Back Samba Dior, and Keur Daouda because this project will help take them even further along the path of income generation and overall self-sufficiency!
