Crews were battling a grass fire in southwest Miami-Dade Wednesday evening that was leading to closures of the Florida’s Turnpike. The fire was reported in the area of Southwest 112th Avenue and Southwest 256th Street. A woman was struck and killed while trying to cross Interstate 95 in Miami Wednesday morning, authorities said. The incident happened around 6 a.m. on I-95 north in the area of Northwest 2nd Street.
