Hi there!
Last week at my sister’s house, I took a photo of a mirror she has hanging in her breezeway. I thought maybe I could use the snapshot as part of Syndee’s class (Lessons 5 and 6). Boy, it did not disappoint!
So, if you can get past that adorable face of my grandson (wink), take a look at the frame brushes I created from the photo of my sister’s mirror. I super love the result.
This week is the Introductory Sale on Syndee’s newest class for Photoshop and Photoshop Elements––Creatively Yours. Introductory sales ..read more

Hi there!
I love things that are fast and splashy, don’t you?
This week in the classroom, we’re going to be releasing a new class that’s fast, splashy, AND spectacular. The common theme of the new class is brushes, but that’s just part of it. In this new class, you’ll explore your creativity by playing with:
shapes
watercolors
type
blend modes
overlays
gradients
and more!
Whew! That seems like a lot, but as I said, it’s fast and splashy. I’ll see you in a day or two with more details and your opportunity to enroll.

Hi there!
If you’re not used to seeing them a lot, you may not know which is which and what the difference is.
For example, in the image below, do you know which represents knitting and which represents crochet?
The cloth on the left is knitted and the one on the right is crocheted. They are similar, yet different. One uses needles while the other uses hooks.
The same thing could be said about the parts of a layer in the Layers panel of PSE or PS. If you’re not used to seeing them a lot, you may not know which is whic ..read more

Hi there!
Some tools in Photoshop are just frustrating. There’s too much fiddling. Too much guessing. Too much eyeballing and trial and error.
Can you think of a tool like that?
The first one that comes to my mind is the Magic Wand tool. If you thought of a different one, you’re not wrong! There are many.
The reason some tools can be frustrating is that they are harder to understand. Their inner workings use concepts that are not as concrete.

Hi there!
I kind of forget what I know. I know it’s not just me. I’ve heard you say something to that effect as well.
For example, in Syndee Roger’s new class, Intro to Symmetry in Procreate for iPad, she includes a BONUS video demonstrating symmetry in Adobe Photoshop. (Unfortunately, Photoshop Elements does not have a native symmetry option.)
Symmetry in Adobe Photoshop
We will be exploring symmetry more in Digital Scrapper Premier 2025 (Coming January 2025), but until then, if you have Adobe Photoshop, bring up the symmetry optio ..read more
