Is it only 11th airborne? If you get sent to alaska, without jump school, do you just go to Alaska and are a leg in a stryker or what happens? Do you gotta go to jump school at all?

I see two different TIG requirements for SGT secondary zone, what’s the difference? And what would make you qualify for 4 months TIG instead of the 6 months TIG?
Thanks in advance!

My son is currently out of the country, and when he returns, he can't go back to the barracks. Right before he left he and a few other soldiers had to leave because of occupancy ratio. He has a decent BHA, and wants to live alone. He doesn't need much, but, as a veteran property manager, the things I look at, are not always the things look at/for. Any suggestions on safe, nice places? Apartments, Townhome or Condo. ANY HELP you can give would be very much appreciated.

Met a staff sergeant from the NG who went to BCT back in 1986 at the age of 18. They were attached to us on an NTC rotation back in 2020. No idea how this fucker was still in. Rotting green teeth, skin on his hands was falling apart, and he smelled like domestic abuse & cowboy killers.

My uncle is almost technologically illiterate and I can’t find what he is looking for. It’s this cap, it says “BORDER” in the embroidery on the front. He sent me two angles of it. Said he was in a border camp in 1982. Can someone help me help him? Excuse the pictures he’s kinda a boomer when it comes to technology and the internet. He said the tag with the S/N is worn off.

Background: I recently failed out of my AIT and am now considered a "immediately available soldier" and will be re-classed to the needs of the army as per AR 614–200. I had to submit a wish list of MOS's i would like to be re-classed to, but all my fellow school failures were re-classed to entirely different MOS's than what they had put down on their wish list.
Question: Is there any way I can influence my reclassification other than my wishlist? Or how can i delay the forced reclassification until better MOS's are available?

I posted this as a comment on another post, but I wanted to see what people thought about this.
Obviously, as you’ll read, this isn’t my idea but rather how the pay for the Australian Defense Forces work. Personally, in my opinion, this is better as it rewards/incentivizes those that do more while it doesn’t for those that want to do the minimum.
As well, understand that when you see their pay, their benefits work very different than ours and understand that just because you see a $ sign, it doesn’t correlate to the amount in USD (different country, different cost of living). I’d say if you w ..read more
