Wow! Do I have a MashUp Challenge for you this week! Our Creative Team has created five fabulous inspiration pages using these two element packed templates, which will be on sale this week::
The first page is Addie’s, which starts with some very cute photos. I love the watery colors and textures in her background. She chose just the right frames and word art from the chosen templates to complete her page.
I love the way Jheri took the photo cluster from the Scattered Pictures Template and moved it to the corner. Combined with wordart from the Yes This template, this makes a great page!

A lot of us seemed to like this awesome page by Kathy (blackkathy), her blending was masterful
A few of us did our very best to do this wonderful page justice with our lifts…
Rachael (myssp) was inspired by the circle (great idea to use the rope frame) and I adore the lifted corners and the book plate in the center.
Here is what she used:

Good morning everyone! I’ve been feeling a little sorry for myself as this was the month that I was meant to be in Detroit visiting my dear friends who moved there from Australia a few years ago. My previous visit was in the snowy Mid-winter and I was looking forward to being there to share the Summer with them, but Covid has put a stop to all that for now. I know that many of you have also had treasured plans interrupted and that indeed many of you are struggling with the economic fallout from the pandemic. Life has been challenging to say the least this year, but I hope you are all finding s ..read more

Hi,
Welcome to this month’s iTunes challenge. I’ve chosen a versatile album cover; it could be used with bright colors for summer pages, or vintage for family history memories.
I love the repeated photo, which can be a very effective design for layouts, as well as the simple, bold colour scheme. You could be inspired by the titlework with its outline letters. There’s also a striped background in the photo, and plenty of striped papers in the store that could be used behind your choice of photos.
Recently I met up with my sister and her kids. The cousins had barely seen each other since M ..read more

Happy Saturday! It’s going to be a hot day here. The perfect excuse to stay inside and lift our featured page. This week I chose a fun pool page by Lori (lmaggs). I loved the gradual line of smaller striped circles ending at the little fish. Such a clever summer pool page. Lots of directions you could go with this one.
Jheri was quick to jump in to play with this page as she loves white space. She used gradually larger photos and frames along a vertical line. Love her background brush work and the sweet button details.

The Gradient Tool – I use it more and more every day. I thought this month, we would blend two or more photos together using this method. We have quite a few ducks that reside in the lake at our golf course in Flagstaff. One morning, this couple was on the tee box, as if they were getting ready to play :-). Here is how I blended two photos to kind of tell a story:
After placing your photos on the page, add a layer mask to the overlapping photo. Select the Linear Gradient Tool, click and drag from top to bottom and release close to the sharp edge of the photo. The the more you drag, t ..read more

Hello all! Depending on where you live, you are either in the midst of summer or the midst of winter. I hope, in either case, you will dip into your summer fun photos to create a scrapbook page using the two summery templates I chose for this first template challenge in July.

Here we are, the beginning of summer and it is truly unlike any summer we’ve experienced before. I am sure you are all feeling it too. Not being able to travel to our cabin is devastating (it is literally 10 minutes from our house, but across the closed border!) On the other hand, the current situation has offered us opportunities to spend time closer to home.
For this month’s Color Challenge, I am going with shades of blue to honor all the fun things we are going to do this summer: lazing in our friend’s turquoise pool, swimming in the deep blue ocean, laying on our backs under the wide ..read more

When Deborah (Deborah Wagner) posted her “Happy Heart” page in the gallery, she commented that she wasn’t sure about the tilt and the black and white stripes. I had to chuckle because those were exactly the elements that drew me to her page. I love the boldness of her color choices and the energy that the angle imparts to her design. So it was a natural choice for today’s Saturday Scraplift, and two of my fellow Creative Team members, Audrey and Terri, joined me in taking inspiration from her page; here’s where we went with it.

Let’s scrap about you and your friendships! For the AAY pages, it’s great if you can include a photo of yourself, but it isn’t a requirement. Scrap about an old friendship, a new friendship, a friendship that fell through the cracks, friends that you’ve met through scrapbooking (maybe only virtual friends), friends you’ve lost, etc.
Jheri’s page “This Guy” tells an amazing story of her friendship with her husband! She included a great photo of the two of them out on an adventure. Her journaling is crazy sweet, and what an important friendship to document!
