To commemorate Trans Awareness Month, My Genderation is delighted to release Watch Me Exist on demand. This short fictional film focuses on three young trans people, who are trying to find their place in the world and includes original songs created by trans people.  The film was developed through a theatre project with Youth Cymru and Mess up the Mess, and is based on a theatre play, written by Kelly Jones. To celebrate International Non-Binary Awareness Day, we have released our feature documentary called I Am They. We’ve got some great press about it already, with an extensive interview in Pink News and a first person opinion piece for OZ. 3 My Genderation Films at TranScreen Amsterdam Film Festival

We were delighted to have three of our My Genderation films selected for the TransScreen Film Festival. This includes two documentary films and one fiction all made by trans people at My Genderation. One doc features Max and their ‘Theyby’ River, who is being raised gender neutral. Another film is a conversation between Poppy and Josie, a trans girl, aged 11 and an older trans woman, aged 70. A new short film has been launched to increase awareness of the HIV prevention pill pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) among trans people. Trans People Taking PrEP follows the journeys of Sami and Dani, who currently take PrEP for HIV prevention. Film to Educate Medical Professionals on Transgender Issues

We created this informative and up-to-date My Genderation resource, based on themes from focus groups and interviews involving thirteen participants of varying ages, gender identities and stages of transition from LGBT Youth, Scotland. This film was made with the voices of five contributors, sharing their personal experiences accessing healthcare. It is  a collaboration with NHS Scotland and the University of Glasgow and echos the issues and stories provided by young trans people who took part in the research project. We created a series of short films about older trans people in Wales and how to best provide dignified and inclusive health and social care in Wales.
