The Department of Home Affairs has announced changes that will make many international students around Australia very happy. As of 10th May 2021, there is no longer a 40-hour per fortnight work restriction for primary visa holders employed in the tourism and hospitality sectors. In response to the coronavirus outbreak, there has been an extraordinarily high demand for items such as toilet paper, tissues, hand sanitiser, rice and pasta in all the major supermarkets like Coles and Woolworths. Many shoppers are ‘losing their heads’ and fighting in the supermarket aisles over basic products.
