Don't know why they would care but it would be easy for anyone at NASBA or the state boards to see who you are by your score posts especially if you posted all four scores. Haha just my paranoid brain working submitted by /u/moonscape33 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Question regarding CPA's mistake?

Hello there! I have a question and I'm reaching out cautiously for some insights. I've been running a small business for six years now, and throughout this time, I've consistently relied on the same accountant. Initially, they used to provide direct consultations, but lately, it seems like their associates or front desk staff handle most of the work, with the accountant themselves only calling once a year for tax filing signatures. Over the years, I've noticed several errors, but this time, something really caught me off guard. Currently, the accountant I've hired is handling both our marriag ..read more

Can (should) you start studying for TCP before you take REG?

I have a tax background, though in a much more niche area than REG/TCP covers. I took REG last year with no studying and got a 60. I’d like to take REG on or before June 25th, would start studying May 1. I wont be able to study for ~3 weeks, and won’t be back until about a week before the TCP window closes. If I’m scoring high on REG practice exams before my exam date, would it be a terrible idea to start studying for TCP before I take my REG exam? Or if I move up my REG exam to be earlier in June, would it be useless to study for TCP, take a 3 week break, and then have 9 days to study before ..read more

Is Becker enough for ISC?

I am taking ISC on May 7th. I have gone through all concept videos, MCQ, and TBS for I1-I4 and have received a 76% and 82% on the two mini exams. I have not done the simulated exams yet. I feel like I know the material well but I am also afraid that the exam will have material that Becker doesn’t cover. For those that took and passed ISC and used Becker, was that enough to pass or do you recommend supplementing Ninja/universal as well? I also do not have an IT background, but took audit right before this exam submitted by /u/StatisticianRare6930 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Testing in 3 days and F5 as a whole I am just unable to process. Becker says my total study time is 182 hours yet I still feel like I have sooo much more to grasp. Construction interest, lease JE's, Dollar value lifo. at this point I want to stop studying and just get on my knees and pray. any tips? my study plan for the last week was to watch the live online classes (1 mod per day) and then knock out mcq and sims that I missed/skipped but F5 is a nightmare and I feel like its just too much to grasp https://preview.redd.it/h46ksrayqhwc1.png?width=2146&format=png&auto=webp&s=07 ..read more

Am I wrong?

First question we include the T-bill as it is 90 days in the dot for maturity. But for the second question the T-bill is 92 days old therefore excluding it from being classified as a cash equivalent. What’s the rule to follow? 90 days or less or 3 months??? submitted by /u/mitchyman458 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I have officially completed all four sections! It feels great, but hasn’t really sunk in yet to be honest. I am just so glad to be done with the hard part, and I’m looking forward to applying for my license. Thanks to everyone on r/CPA for the support and motivation! I appreciate this community and I will remain here to help as much as I can. To those still working on the exams, you got this! submitted by /u/Defiant-Wait-1994 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I am not sure how it will work since issuing so many nts would cause delay and then prometric centers would just get full in no time. What is your stratergy? Also would you start studying before the result if you have a doubt about your performance? I didnt do well in Audit, so want to know how you guys are planning. submitted by /u/buckshot1234 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I’ve only been working in public as an auditor since January and I’m already burning out between work and studying for FAR. When I was in college I used to have so much drive, finished top of my class, always on time for class/internships, put my best effort forth no questions asked, etc. but I feel like I’ve done a complete 180 since then. Doesn’t help that I am anticipating that I bombed REG but won’t know until June 4….. Does anyone else feel like the work is just not fulfilling? Does it get any better? I seriously wonder how people are able to stick to this profession for years. To be mor ..read more
