Western blot; 2 bands reactive?

hi! I am seeing a new PCP, and she wanted to test me for Lyme since I have symptoms and have had them for years. I got diagnosed with Lyme last July. 3 weeks of doxy, but no improvement. We did the western blot, and 2 bands showed abnormal; 23 and 58. PCP said I need 5/10 bands for a positive result. So it's a negative. She did not even mention the 2 bands. I've read so many mixed things about test results not possibly not being accurate but I feel absolutely crazy/defeated at this point and don't want to be "fishing" for an answer that isn't there. all of my other bloodwork came back normal ..read more

Of course my Dr ran the traditional lyme screening negative. Sudden onset severe anxiety which I've never had prior. Severe noise sensitivity. Every noise sounds like someone is banging cymbals next to my head Daily headaches Wake up every morning to pure adrenaline. I can feel the rushes and my body shakes Bad loss of appetite and lost 50 pounds in six month The worst shortness of breath I cannot explain. Like air hunger? I just always feel like I cannot breath. My bones hurt and muscles hurt. Thigh bones, elbows, upper arms all of it. Really bad pain across shoulders and upper back Chronic ..read more

Are these enough herbs to kill bart babesia and Lyme ?

Hey guys I’m just wondering if this really can kill the 3, Andrographis, astragalus, sweet wormwood, cryptoleptis, cats claw, Chinese skullcap, black wallnut, Japanese knotweed, methane blue (like 15mgs a day) Stevia and BioCidin for busters. I take them all twice a day and it’s been like a year I don’t feel bad but I’m not necessarily cured in any means. Should I just keep going and maybe add in working out or something? submitted by /u/Simple-Street98 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Test Results came back "normal"

So my test results came back "normal" but I was really sick and presented with a bullseye rash. My Dr says "no further investigation is needed". Has this happened to anybody else? I am feeling much better after starting doxycycline. I have one day left of a 14 day treatment. I'm just confused I guess as to why I got so sick and had the bullseye rash yet my results are "negative"....? submitted by /u/torben2383 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Should I Be Worried?

I made a previous post and something went wrong so I’ll just post a shorter version again. This is what I am assuming is a tick bite. I live in a Southern state and it’s relatively common but this one started itching intensely by the next day. The pictures I have attached are day 2 and day 6. The redness has faded somewhat and now it feels dry and crusty. The small red bumps are also still there. I read online that it can still be Lyme without the bullseye rash and this has made me anxious. Have I waited too long for antibiotics? Thank you in advance for any advice you can give me! submitted ..read more

Bone chilling cold and occasionally hot flashes

My lower body is cold all the time. Even after hot showers I'm lucky if I have 30 minutes of comfortable body temp. The discrepancy between the perceived temperature of my upper and lower body can hardly be expressed. A few times I've asked my girlfriend to feel if my leg is cold, and she'd tell me it feels warmer than her hand. Now here I am at 06:23 in the morning, absolute imaomnia, a feeling of hot, cold and sore muscles at once. After a hotflash I had to take my socks and sweatpants off, which I usually have to sleep in due to the usual cold in the lower extremities. The hot flashes are ..read more

Found this on my thigh. No idea what bit me, if anything. I thought maybe a spider but my gf was concerned it looked like a bullseye. Thoughts? It’s only about 1.5” in diameter. submitted by /u/Virtual_Conflict172 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Positive D-Dimer

Went to Urgent care due to chest pain. Doctor ordered a bunch of blood tests. Results came back and I had a positive D-Dimer (2.02) Range should be between 0.00 and .50 so it was pretty elevated. He sent me straight to the ER for A CT scan to see if I had any blood clots in lungs (pulmonary embolism). CT came back negative, Lungs/heart are clear. Question is: Has anyone with Lyme had a positive d-dimer that had nothing to do with blood clots. Thanks in advance submitted by /u/airfriedmemes [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Okay so I live in the southern states and on Friday I noticed something causing me to itch under the arm pulled a tick off of me remembered I hate say in the grass. It had white dot on it lone star now I’m freaking out I’m getting Lyme I started 200 mg of doxycycline on Sunday. And I don’t feel sick but still scared it’s getting worse. I’m 2019 I was bitten but not by lone star tick. Disposed of tick friday! My first tick bite looking nothing like this. I’ve been putting band aid and neosporin ointment on it and not scratching it I’m scared it’s turning to bullseye rash submitted by /u/Suza ..read more
