Long time, no posts… Things been a bit hectic. The one thing I’m torn with at the moment is whether I should go for a cochlear implant or not. I’ve already had some appointments and been told I could be eligible for them…. But is it too late, at 28 years old to get one? Has anyone gone from wearing hearing aids from such a young age to being an adult in the change-over process? I’m honestly scared. Like, part of me wants to go for it because it’d give me a bit of extra freedom, but I don’t know the stats of possible complications afterwards. Ugh ..read more

In the UK, the implementation of Sunflower Lanyards have begun making the rounds to train service provider LNER (London North Eastern Railway). It’s already in place at some airports and supermarkets.Wearing a sunflower lanyard enables staff to recognise that you have a hidden disability without you needing to declare it. I’ve honestly been toying with the idea of deleting the blog completely, but not sure if I can bring myself to do it. I’m not as active on Tumblr anymore so I’m rarely posting or browsing. May keep the blog up, but as I’ve deleted so many posts, I may take a new turn on the blog completely, turn it into some sort of image-only blog featuring disability related quotes or phrases with image descriptions under it.
