Attention Melrose Residents: In observance of the upcoming holidays, the City Yard and DPW offices will be closed on the following dates: -Monday December 25, 2023 -Tuesday December 26, 2023 -Monday January 1, 2024 • There will be no trash or recycling collection on Monday 12/25/23 & Monday 1/1/24. Saturday, December 2, 2023 is the last Saturday that the City Yard will be open until April 2024 as the department shifts to winter operations. As a result, the city will no longer be accepting mattresses for drop-off recycling at the city yard after 12/2. All mattress drop-off payments must be received by 3:00 PM on Friday 12/1 to be eligible for drop off on Saturday, 12/2. There will no longer be a delay in trash and recycling collection during the week of 11/6-11/10, leading up to Veteran’s’ Day (impacted dates are outlined in orange). If your normal collection day is Friday, your trash and recycling will be collected on Friday 11/10, rather than Saturday 11/11 as previously stated.
