As children get older, they often wonder how some of the content they learn in school will apply to their life. So, teachers have to show students how the material relates to various aspects outside of school. However, one part that students never question involves the alphabet. Students begin to learn their letters even before they enter school. Then, they focus heavily on learning letters in preschool and kindergarten. This progresses to sounds and blending everything together to form words. When students are ready, they begin reading all sorts of books. Honestly, learning the alphabet is on ..read more

Letters are hard to learn! First, there are 26 different ones to know. On top of that, there are 2 versions of each letter in the form of uppercase and lowercase! Second, those letters all have an individual sound. This means that students have to be able to look at a letter and understand the sound it makes. Third, students must learn how all those sounds blend to create words. Of course, there are always exceptions and rules for students to learn as they progress through school. Understandably, learning letters is stressful. Thankfully, the Letter Identification and Concepts of Print Digital ..read more
