Feel good knowing that your Chefs Plate order is going towards helping eliminate hunger in Canada this Thanksgiving season. What was your favourite meal as a kid? Chicken in gravy, steamed white rice, with boiled (from frozen of course) peas & carrots. This was a staple meal for the family growing up. The aroma of the chicken cooking in the oven, with that gravy was intense! That alone takes back down memory lane. I always think of the food that my family cooked, but that dish is definitely #1.

What was your favourite meal as a kid? My favourite food as a kid was a good hamburger – and it still is. My family would throw backyard BBQ’s and I distinctly remember my mother bringing home fresh Kaiser buns from the local bakery and making her own patties with fresh ground beef. It’s been my favourite food ever since. A soft bun, a salty and juicy flat top griddle-cooked hamburger, a thin disk of sweet onion and oozing cheddar cheese. Simple and delicious. That, my friends, is a perfect burger. And when it’s good, it’s life-changing.

What was your favourite meal as a kid? My favourite food as a kid (and today for that matter) was pizza. I’ve always loved that pizza is infinitely customizable. Thin crust, deep dish, Neapolitan, and beyond, I’ve never met a pizza I didn’t love. Green olives will always be my #1 favourite topping.

What was your favourite meal as a kid? Spaghetti! My love of carbs started at a young age, it was definitely my comfort food.
Which food trend are you currently obsess with? Avocado? I feel like that’s a food trend that’s since passed but my love for avocado will last forever. What was your favourite meal as a kid? Grilled Cheese Sandwiches. I’d have 3 a day. I could make them myself, so I loved the independence hah.
