There are two things that are necessary for really good gluten-free pizza crust; par-baking the crust and a hot oven. I proved it by serving this pizza to a group of 6 and 7 year old (non gluten-free) boys at my son’s 7th birthday party. I knew it was a success when their plates were empty. The recipe might seem long, but I put in a lot of details. Make it a few times, and it won’t seem hard at all. This recipe makes a fluffy, soft crust. Also, it’s an easy recipe to make dairy-free. See the substitutions in the ingredient l ..read more

Read through the following directions before making your crust. The full recipe follows. Making Pie Crust 1) Place dry ingredients in food processor and mix. 2)  Place cold butter and/or shortening in the processor. 3) Process until butter is incorporated and the mixture looks like grated cheese. Alternatively, “cut” the butter with the flour in a bowl with two knives or a pastry blender. 4) Transfer to mixing bowl and add liquid ingredients. Start by adding 1 tablespoon of water. 5) Mix dough with your hands. Add more water until it comes together.  6) Shape into a disc. 7) Cru ..read more
