Triglav was built by Almaz Shipyard in Saint Petersburg and commissioned in Slovenian service in 2010. The Slovenian Ministry of Defence announced in February 2024 that it has selected three companies to modernise the Svetlyak class patrol vessel. Turkish Navy conducted the Kurtaran 2024 exercise between 24 and 30 April 2024 near Aksaz Naval Base. This annual exercise is focused on conserving and honing the skill of rescuing submerged disabled submarines (DISSUB) sitting at the bottom of the sea.
