It’s okay to accept help.
It’s okay to ask for help.
You don’t have to do all of the things on your own.
Take a lesson from the symbiotic relationship between peonies and ants! Ants fill up on peony nectar, and in return guard away dangerous pests.
Call a friend to vent, get a babysitter for a couple hours, ask for a favor.. it’s okay to lean on someone else for a bit ..read more

My wish for you this week. Please cut yourself some slack.
Please stop downplaying what you’re going through. Transitions are tough, moving is tough, death is tough, marriage is tough, divorce is tough, starting a family is tough, facing chronic pain and disease is tough...
You probably have a lot on your plate on top of this. Please give yourself time, space, what you need. Let go of guilt. You’re doing the best you can, and that’s enough.
You are enough ..read more

Spring has finally sprung!
Chinese Medicine has long recognized the impact of the seasons on the human body. Look to nature and you’ll see just about every other animal adapting and changing with the seasons, as well.
And Western Medicine has finally caught up! Research now shows that gene expression changes throughout the year with the seasons.
How are you changing this season ..read more

Sometimes a new mom can barely schedule solo bathroom time, let alone acupuncture!
Kjirsten (one of my childhood dance role models ☺️☺️) posted this almost three years ago. And it has always stuck with me.
So here's yet another reminder that self-care comes in all different shapes and sizes, and will change drastically throughout the different seasons of your life. I love working with expecting moms, new moms, and veteran moms. And I know that you have a lot on your plates! Your body needs sleep to recover and repair itself from all that you put it through during the day... I can’t stress enough how important sleep is!! As we’re working our way towards summer and longer days, we tend to need a little less sleep.. BUT this may not apply to you if you’ve
a) been running at a sleep deficit for awhile,
b) you didn’t take a cue from nature and sleep more this winter, or
c) you’re actively recovering from an injury/illness/imbalance/etc.
Listen to your body and sleep if you need it! Feel like you’re sleeping a ton and you’re still exhausted during the day (no, I’m not ..read more
