I've been struggling with insomnia for 2 years now but today I slept during the day. This never happens for me. Maybe it's the ashwagandha I started taking a week ago. submitted by /u/Upper-Signature350 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

SSRI induced Insomnia

For anyone who has experienced some kind of severe insomnia & protracted withdrawal after getting off SSRIs, how long did it take for your sleep to return to normal?? Sleep was never this bad before starting SSRIs & now after quitting my insomnia is cranked up so high like my body is pumping out adrenaline constantly. I’m almost 4 months clean. The only things getting me through is the following schedule: ambien 2 nights then gabapentin 3rd night. Rinse & repeat. This allows me to get some sleep every night & avoid tolerance but when I stop these meds I immediately go back to ..read more

Medicine suddenly stopped working

I’m on a pretty heavy regiment for sleep otherwise I can go multiple nights without sleeping (mixed bipolar episode). I’ve been taking a combination of Lunesta and Lorazepam 2mg each to help me get some medicated rest. Suddenly it completely stopped working a few days ago. I know about these drugs they may have a tolerance buildup but is it common for both of these compounds to suddenly stop working? I could use some insight as I do not want to go a fourth night without a wink of rest. Is my insomnia pretty severe compared to you all? Thanks in advance for any related stories or advice. I got a lot worse on methylphenidate

Has anyone experienced a decline in work performance when taking methylphenidate? When I take atomoxetine or drugs that increase noradrenaline, my ability to handle tasks improves significantly, while drugs that increase dopamine have the opposite effect. (I felt the same with Abilify, etc.) I also have CFS and drug hypersensitivity (I think I have an underlying autoimmune disease), but what about my brain and body? Am I in the minority who experience a dramatic decline in concentration (getting caught up in fun activities and ending the day) when using methylphenidate? There were days when I ..read more

Restoril and delayed ejaculation

I know that some benzos have some delayed ejaculation side effects, but I can't find any information, including any studies (or even warnings) for any benzo besides Xanax. And I just started taking Restoril for sleep about 2 weeks ago and I noticed the last 2 times I had sex (yesterday and the day before), it seemed like there was a delayed effect. Does anyone know of any studies or other link to data that discusses it? Honestly, I just want to know if I'm going crazy / it's all in my head or not. By the way, I'm only taking 15 mg, and so far, it works great, although I had some crazy ass dre ..read more

Have you had a sleep study?

What seems interesting to me Is that most of the people posting here don't reference sleep apnea or having to use a CPAP machine. When I finally had enough of waking up every hour, and and saw a sleep doctor, and had a at home sleep study, he told me I had mild to moderate sleep apnea. Now I can't make the CPAP machine work for me and I'm still trying various things to go to sleep and stay asleep. Just wondering if maybe that could be an issue for some of the people in this summer. submitted by /u/Redegghead25 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

What has HELPED your anxiety? It’s very clear my anxiety gets so bad at night that I stay up and can’t sleep. I have tried Lexapro (took for a few years), then took Prozac for a few years (felt SO sluggish during the day with that), I went awhile without any meds and then used Mirtazapine for about 6 months. Now I started Buspirone. What has worked for you that you suggest? submitted by /u/Spiritual_Reindeer_8 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I have diagnosed insomnia, but it hasn’t been an issue since I got on seroquel and mirtazapine Until my ex reached out with some painful shit Right now I haven’t slept in 2 days and have only gotten 6 hours of sleep all week I think. There’s been a couple stretches where I just can’t for days. I stopped drinking coffee 24 hours ago, haven’t taken my adderall today. Have taken a lot of seroquel since the last time I slept I feel like I’m dying lmao I can’t sleep submitted by /u/TheWelcomeBackChills [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
