> Banbury Chaser and Dorset Triangle sailed at Sutton Bingham. > > A strong turnout of 10 dinghies travelled from Lyme to the reservoir to race at the weekend and received a warm welcome at Sutton Bingham SC. > The very light, variable winds were a new experience for some of Lyme’s youth sailors more familiar with the open sea. All entrants’ results contribute to final club scores. > Consistent performances from Sam Knight ( Super Nova 1,5,2) , Jerry Rook and Simon Law ((Albacore, 2,6,4), did well for LRSC, but some missed the gate in one race. > Andrew Frost, SBSC, (Aero, 1 ..read more

Original Medina kite in a fetching light blue and white. Sound but definitely a bit baggy. It works well downwind on Rumcase, but not great for reaching. Ideal sail to experiment with spinnaker handling. You won’t be breaking the bank should you snag it, run over it, wrap it around an angry foredeck crew etc. Reason for sale – just not our colour.
Sail is currently stored in Rumcase.

Some of our youth sailors are travelling to Starcross for the Starcross Steamer tomorrow, briefed by Graham and Dave about conditions, courses, tides and the importance of being prepared with a course diagram from the NoR – it is a pursuit race so ..read more

> Own Boat Youth Race group retrieving the Rib at the end of a cold training afternoon with Dave Stubbs. Fireball, RS4000, 29er. Light wind but enough for trapezing for the last half hour. All managed capsize practice! The morning was race coaching in ILCAs with Jerry and Graham, so we definitely have 6 dedicated young sailors! >
