The Inter-Provincial Championships took place on the 13th and 14th April in the Irish Wheelchair Association. This year was the first year that Para has been included int he event. Day one was Seniors, Veterans, U21 and Para Events. While day two was the Junior event. Peadar Sheridan from Ormeau TTC and Vincent Ni from Loop TTC, competed in various youth tournaments in Europe. Peadar Sheridan showed great consistency in the u13/15 categories, reaching 2 quarter-finals and winning a bronze medal in the u13 category in WTT Youth Contender Metz. He won 13 out of 16 matches over 12 days and moved into the top 15 in the world youth ranking for u13 players. Peadar also reached round 32 in all three contenders. Vincent Ni (Loop TTC) on the other hand, competed in the u15/17 events, reaching the round of 64 in WTT Youth Contender Spa and the round of 32 in WTT Yout ..read more

The 2023 / 2024 season has been a great success at the Leinster League. We had 25 senior teams compete across 4 divisions compared to 23 teams last season. The 25 teams represented 11 clubs versus 8 clubs’ last season. We aim to continue this growth over the coming seasons. There were 115 active players in the senior league this year which highlights the importance of the league to so many people. Our Junior League is also growing with 6 teams last season and an expected 8 teams this season which will be on May 12th in Grifeen Educate Together school Lucan (K78 YA07). Dear Members, We wish to remind all members that the Annual General Meeting of the Irish Table Tennis Association (ITTA) Company Limited by Guarantee will take place on Saturday 8th of June 2024 in Irish Sport HQ at the Sport Ireland National Sports Campus. History was made at the recent Inter Provincial Championships when a competition for our Para players was included in the lineup of events on the Saturday for the very first time in TTI’s existence. All four provinces entered teams, which was great to see. The outcome, perhaps those close to the Para squad will not be surprised to read, was that Leinster steamrolled their way to an overall victory and took the shield back to Dublin.  The Leinster team, consisting of Sean Geoghegan, Mick Cunningham and Aaron Mellows, ended up undefeated throughout the competition defeating Connacht, Munst ..read more
