Need help switching to the proper grips!!

I’ve played badminton casually for 4 years using a “panhandle” grip. A few weeks ago I was told that I grip the racket completely wrong and I have been shown the proper forehand and backhand grip technique. For a couple weeks I’ve been trying to familiarise myself with these but not only do they feel uncomfortable but I have also just flat out missed a lot of shots due to my racket pointing the wrong direction or me struggling to twist my wrist to get the racket pointing the right way. I have checked online and I am supposedly gripping it correctly now but it feels impossible to get used to i ..read more

Net block faults

I have a question about net blocks. Last with Nishimoto blocking the smash of Ginting at the All England tournament, which was called obstruction. I saw that a lot of people agreed, because Nishimoto didn't swing his racquet. Where in the rules of badminton does it say that a stroke/hit of the shuttle needs motion of the racquet to make it valid? Because then there are times where a net drop would also be invalid. In my understanding the only time when a stationary block is invalid, is when your opponent is legally moving his racquet on your side of the court and his racquet clashes/touches y ..read more

Doubles vs singles

Hello Im an amateur player left handed player, at this point I have simply started hating playing doubles. I mostly win lot of matches against people of my level in singles. But in doubles its the opposite, drops are predictable and seems like there is less area to work with. Also being a lefty if I play with right handed player which is 95% of the time, there is always some kind of collision or confusion for the middle of the court. Im frustrated but willing to learn more, has anyone faced this and how did you overcome it. Please help submitted by /u/SectionIndividual126 [visit reddit] [com ..read more

EDIT: Sweet, thanks all As per title is this site https://e78shop.com legit? Has anyone used it before and do they sell authentic stuff? The rackets at the top and bottom here are from them. The top seems to have the “Thruster” printed slightly off which made me a bit suspicious. https://preview.redd.it/ww7y2wevv3vc1.png?width=1080&format=png&auto=webp&s=0a2fd110bff29c7c61a00831172bf9c810509e70 submitted by /u/RaffScallionn [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
