Cats, like dogs, are popular house pets who give us affection, attention and comfort us with their presence and purrs. I, for one, am very fond of cats and have had several over the years.

It's easy to figure why baguette gemstone and crystal cuts are called that. We know the tasty French bread, baguette which comes from the French for the bar, la bague and baguette, the stick.
As a diamond cut, the baguette is not as brilliant as the brilliant cut where the light really bounces around the gemstone. But it doesn't mean it is any less attractive. The baguette shape reminds us of Art Deco!

I first came across Canadian designer, Sophie's work when she kindly uploaded a photograph her hand embroidered pendants to the review section of my Etsy supply store. I was so taken by what she had done with my laser cut wood bezels. This eventually led me to her wonderful shop, maidenwood.
Sophie uses both metal and wood bezels to great effect for her nature inspired designs. I particularly love her mushrooms! Read more

Erika Pal of WireArtTutorials has got to be one of the most innovative and prolific wire jewelry designer and instructor out there. Wire work jewelry requires much practice in order to get good. Erika has clearly put in the time and more!
Her creative mind means her designs are always original and have loads of character. Take for example the amazing flower design shown above, which manages to capture the cabochon in a way I have never seen before.
