All this time we’ve been treating the last few bites of a pint all wrong. Condemning the mostly eaten pint to an icy doom at the back of the freezer. Giving those precious final scoops no more attention than the closing credits of a movie. It’s high time the last bites of a pint got the standing ovation they deserve. The last scoop is not the end! It’s the beginning of a knock-your-socks-off delicious moment. Something I like to call Last Scoop Sundaes. It’s why we fight over the last scoops in my house! Here’s what you do: When there’s about a third of the pint or less, toss in sauce, nuts ..read more

A foundational belief of ours is that all humans are 100% equal—but, now more than ever, we believe it’s important to be unequivocally clear: Black lives matter. And racism and violence that threaten black people’s lives have no place here. Last week, our CEO John Lowe drafted a letter to Columbus City Council in support of their resolution declaring racism a public health crisis. Last night, that letter, co-signed by more than 750 Columbus business and organization leaders, was delivered. Since then, another 500 put their names to it. The letter was written prior to the protests and unrest of ..read more

Earlier this year, inspired by a great conversation I had with an incredible woman in Houston named Tayler and my discovery of Depressed Cake Shop, we decided to work on a new flavor for Mental Health Awareness Month in May.  The flavor is called Sunshine. But it’s a trick: It looks the opp ..read more
