I tried using Seek and Google Lens but each angle shows a different result. The leaves smells very floral, almost minty. It's got tons of little hairs but it doesn't sting. I thought it might be a common nettle or catnip submitted by /u/ArtDweeb_ [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I quit weed 2 months ago and wanted something else to help with my anxiety. I was skeptical at first but this is really nice. I recommend it! I grinded it up and used my bong to smoke it. Enjoy :) submitted by /u/NotteStellata [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I took an herbal remedy from an herbalist years and years ago which gave me a peculiar smell. I was wondering if there are any herbs that are safe to take that improve your natural scent/body odor. submitted by /u/blahgraves [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Help! Making a bug spray out of pennyroyal!

I am not taking pennyroyal internally so I am not concerned with side effects associated with it being taken that way. I want to create a bug spray out of pennyroyal and am wondering if making a tincture out of it would work as something I can spray on myself when I'm outdoors to repell bugs; I'm always one for avoiding toxic chemicals! I was planning to use the folk method of soaking herbs in alcohol and shake every day (from my understanding, that's filling a jar halfway with dried or fresh herbs (dried in this case) and add enough alcohol to cover the herbs entirely. I bought 80 proof vodk ..read more

Marjoram is a perennial herb in the mint family closely related to oregano. It is sometimes called sweet marjoram, pot marjoram, or knotted marjoram. The herb can be found in fresh and dry form in most supermarkets, grocery stores, and gourmet food retailers. Best substitutes: Dried Marjoram, Oregano, Basil, Thyme, Sage, and more https://organicallyblissful.com/best-substitute-for-marjoram/ https://preview.redd.it/i3ez06hto4wc1.png?width=922&format=png&auto=webp&s=0606dd86915db14718eb8576f8a9516990dbc18a submitted by /u/bringmeturtles [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I’m growing herbs for the first time and to my surprise many of my seeds are germinating. I spread many seeds out inside of one pot. This is what I’m getting with Basil and lemon balm. I don’t think this was a mistake but I do think I’ve created a little more work for myself. From what I’ve read I’ll eventually have to separate all of these after they get about an inch or so tall. Any advice? I did all of my herbs with this and they are all beginning to germinate. It’s very exciting. submitted by /u/brandall_69 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

hi everyone! i am new to using herbs, i have a 2 year old and it seems everything has soo many harsh chemicals that could be avoided if i just make something at home lol. im trying to make a lotion/ointment kind of thing with calendula and comfrey, the calendula i have is dried but the comfrey is powdered, how would i go about making a lotion out of it? i have shea butter, beeswax, vitamin E oil and the herbs. i honestly dont know if this would work but i was thinking of melting the shea butter and then putting the calendula and comfrey in and letting it kind of absorb the herbs? i dont know ..read more
