I love being on the water and intend to alternate between just going out exploring and using the Excursion Pro for fishing. The best €290 I’ve ever spent!

Currently considering the intex k2 explorer or challenger, however I read the material for these kayaks is not very durable and likely to puncture. If so are there any better kayaks above the 200$ range? I'd be using it in channels of water where boats pass by in florida or in beaches, for probably around 5-7 miles per trip. I'm willing to spend maximum 400$ if it's really worth it.

Hey, I was hoping I might be able to get some buying advice on my next kayak purchase. I've been kayaking for years on cheap Walmart kayaks and was finally looking to upgrade to something a little better quality. I have a variety of things I'm looking to use the boat for and I'm having trouble figuring out which boat would be best for my situation. I have a budget around $2,000, but if I could keep it a bit under that would be ideal.
What I'm looking to use the boat for:
Recreational paddling around the small-medium sized lake near my house. Either roaming around with friends or doing laps ar ..read more

Long story short, I waaaaaaaay over tightened my kayaks to my roof racks for fear of them flying off on the interstate at 80mph and ruining my day or more importantly, someone else's. Now they both have a hideously huge dent in the bow. Can I somehow undo these dents or do I just have to live with it?

Would a 400 lb capacity comfortably and hold someone at 320lbs? If not what weight capacity would you recommend. Thanks

I'm thinking of getting a used Jackson Karma RG, if so it'd replace my Pyranha Fusion that I'll give to my dad.
Here's what interests me most
-How good is it for rock gardening?
-How well does it surf?
I'm limited to two boats, so it'd be nice if the rock garden boat could also be good enough it's worth joining some folks who go kayak surfing.
-How well does it keep a point?
The other reason I have a second kayak is to take friends kayaking. Some friends don't fit in my Valley Avocet and get a bit frustrated with how spinny the Pyranha Fusion is.
-What's up with the jiggly footboard?
