Hey all, are you ready for the most cliche thing to hear from a jazz fan/player? Charlie Parker is far and away my favorite improvisor. Someday I'd love to play with the absolute, utter depth and emotionality in his style. Youtube recommended me a video the other day titled "When you can't stop playing perfect lines" and boy, was it correctly titled lol I mostly listen to fusion and really like Al Di Meola (early solo stuff and with RtF) and Lee Ritenour (early solo stuff). I also love everything I've heard Bill Connors play on, which is RtF stuff, some Stanley Clarke, and a few of his 80s solo albums. I know he's not really jazz, but Zappa is also a favorite of mine.
