Ciao from Sicilia! After seven days into our road trip in Sicily,  these #2SicilianGals have put on close to 2000 km on our rental car (Thanks Auto Europe). Victoria and I have traveled from the northwest corner of Sicily to the southeast and in between. Andiamo a Sicilia! #2SicilianGals begin our European road trip in Sicily. After arriving in Palermo and retrieving our rental car at Palermo Airport, formerly known as formerly Punta Raisi Airport, Victoria and I are hitting the road. First stop some espresso and a pastry! I’ll be headed to Sicily soon and I’m flying into Palermo from Naples on  Volotea, one of the economy airlines in Europe. I’ve flown them before and had a good experience. You just have to be careful of the weight restrictions on both checked bags as well as carry-on, since they are less than what I’m used to with American carriers like Delta. – We drove to Cefalù and the timing could not have been any better. Our hotel was opposite a beautiful beach, and in fact, the view from the balcony was the beach. A day of relaxation here was perfect and the weather was made to order. Its seascape is beautiful with homes that go right down to the water and its 12th century cathedral twin spires that loom high above everything else.
