Hello. My asthma doesn.t involve chest tightness, but i have some minor shortness of breath and mucus accumulation in my small airways. I don.t think that.s the biggest problem....i started a herbal treatment since 1 month(beside Symbicort) and i always eliminate green-yellow mucus, especially in the morning. I.m not having the cold/flu. I can add i indeed feel really better after coughing up the mucus. But i don.t know if i should get a medical check or wait to clear it up. Or maybe it could be exposure to irritants like mold? Did anyone got through this?

For background: 17F, competitive athlete (swimming), history of mental health problems (c-PTSD, severe depression and anxiety), have several other health issues
After having a severe asthma attack after a race ~2 yrs. ago, I was suspected to have asthma & prescribed 90mcg albuterol inhaler by my doctor (2 puff dosage). About a month and a half ago, I was confirmed to have asthma (dosage upped to 4 puffs) and also diagnosed with EILO (Exercise-induced laryngeal obstruction) where my throat closes up when I breathe while exercising.
Ever since that first asthma attack, my breathing problems ..read more

Hi everyone!
I'm very new to having asthma. Got diagnosed a few months ago and I'm in my 40's. The first Dr who saw me gave me a prescription for nebulized budesonide, which seemed to help tremendously. Unfortunately, that Dr moved and I have no way of seeing her again.
So I got a new Dr, a pulmonologist, who I've only seen once. I told him that the budesonide was working great but that it was a little difficult for me to keep up with doing it twice a day with the nebulizer so I asked him to please prescribe me the powder form of budesonide, the travel kind of budesonide inhaler.
Here's the p ..read more

--background knowledge: (useful context if you want to read it but it's kinda long, i'm sorry)--
i was born 7 weeks early, and the medical professionals that delivered me told my mom that there's a pretty decent chance of me having underdeveloped/impaired lungs.
growing up, i could never really keep up with other kids, regardless of what sports i was in or what workouts i did. i always lost my breath before other kids, and it was and still is a constant struggle during group physical activity like sports. i guess my parents and i never really attributed it to my potential lung issues because ..read more

I had some short travel scheduled last week (2-4 hour flights). This hasn’t happened much before, but my lungs are still healing from a chronic infection post covid (November) which became more severe with asthma (I’m on trelegy ellipta and some allergy medicines). For context ever since this happened, I’ve always had a chest pain and a taste of blood in my mouth all the time. The pain intensity is going down over time but we hypothesize that it’s been related to inflammation in my airways.
I noticed that as my flight was taking off - there was a sharp pain in my chest, way worse than usual ..read more

For context, I'm 30 years old, pretty healthy, never really knew I had breathing issues (until now) but Jan 31st of this year I caught covid for the very first time, and after a super mild illness that left me feeling mostly fine when hopped up on pain killers, I suddenly developed pretty gnarly lung irritation after the initial infection was nearly completely over. My fever had been broken for days, I was on the mend for a week when a slight tickle started to develop in my chest. Which developed into a pretty serious, scary sounding wheeze.
Longer story short, after urgent care and a pulmono ..read more
