As soon as I saw High Cheese advertised by the ever lovely Crown Perth at their beautiful champagne lounge La Vie I was on board. I saw it on Facebook on the Thursday afternoon and on Friday morning at 7am I called Crown to make a booking for their first day of the offering, which was October 23rd. It’s been an eventful week in Perth, Western Australia. From a Covid lockdown (after no locally transmitted cases in 10 months), to devastating bushfires to a once in a decade flood in the Gascoyne. The last time I went to Bali was in November 2011 when I had finished up a job I’d been at for about 7 years. Well in August 2019 I handed in my notice from the place I’d been for the past 8 and for the week between jobs we decided it was time to head back to Bali for a few nights….. since it had been so darn long between visits! For the first time ever, in 2018, GG decided to have an away Christmas. We chose New Zealand as our destination and I busily started planning where we’d go for our two and a half week adventure.
