I have purchased a 2021 Yamaha U1 and am seeking advice on where to position it in my living room.
A link to a picture is included below. The double doors face mostly north (slightly to the west). The only indoor walls are where the TV is pictured and the wall to the right of the pic, opposite the double doors. I took the pic standing in the entrance to the living room.
The factors I have been considering are how much sunlight it will receive, and temperature fluctuations due to outside wall placement. Any input is appreciated!

Before Spotify and YouTube came into existence, I didn’t know what “arpeggiando” sounded like and had no idea how to play these first few bars of Bach’s Fantasia (BWV 921).
Having just found my decades old scores, I’m finally able to listen to the myriad versions of this arpeggiando on Spotify!
For piano players who are of a certain vintage, how have Spotify and YouTube changed the way you learn, play and enjoy music? (:

I’m looking for a speaker or amp for my keyboard. It would only be used for small venues so I don’t need anything crazy, but I do play with a full band which can get pretty loud. My keyboard has built in speakers which are actually not bad at all but get totally drowned out by the amped guitars and the drum. Is it feasible to find a speaker or amp around 100 dollars (I can hunt for used gear if needed) that will mix well in a group? A lot of the posts in a similar vein here seem to be from people who are performing solo so I was wondering if the guidance changes for a group situation. I don’t ..read more

How did an 18 year old kid from Korea gave the "best" Rach 3 performance where he "shadowed" every mastermind in the face of earth? What makes him so special in his way and do you think he will be remembered 100 years later if he doesn't burn out?
