Hi everyone, I’m a new grad nurse, currently living in the gulf, obviously I studied there and the system is definitely different than USA, ( I am american). Here during my nursing school training we had preceptors and even the first year when we start working we need to have a precetor for that whole year, so Its not like a three day training. I will be preparing for my nclex as I’m looking forward to move back, whoever I have heard that in order to become a travel nurse you need to have 2 years experience, in some agencies ans hospitals one year is acceptable. As i said this whole year work ..read more

Hey y'all. So, I'm adding to my resume and need to include an internal house travel position under my employment. When doing your resume, do you list your agency and then the places that you worked within that agency as the job description or do you include each hospital as it's own entry? Seriously. Nobody wants to stay in your random ass room in the middle of nowhere. Put it on furnished finder with some good pictures, professional description and hope for the best. Lots of people are looking for a second income but coming into a forum of mostly single women coaxing them to stay in your house (you: a stranger) is not a winning strategy While we’re here, 99% of recruiters and companies are the same- just go with who pays most. if you are asking for validation for your one year of experience then you need more experience. rates are what they are- travel or stay staff. Currently on my first contract with 10 weeks left. I was wondering what agencies tend to handle more NICU/Nursery contracts. No issue with my current agency but I'd love to have a good look at what's out there for my next one if I can't renew here. Thanks! submitted by /u/peregRNfalcon [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

This is kinda pathetic but I've been a travel nurse for the last 7 years and I'm now looking for a staff job. How do I condense my travel nursing "career" so my resume doesn't looking like a shopping list? I've been in upwards of 13 facilities I believe, probably more! If you guys have an actual resume with information blacked out of course, I will be eternally grateful. submitted by /u/GogoDogoLogo [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
