We are planning a trip in the summer to visit the whiskey & bourbon trail. Going from Ohio down to Tennessee and wanted to get some pointers on experiences from different distillery’s, places to check out, places to stay, etc. This is probably going to be a 4-5 day trip and we are driving so I’m curious to hear everyone else’s experiences and favorite places. Are the tours worth the money? Should we plan on stopping and doing tastings by ourselves?

Been wanting to try Blantons and found a store pick locally at a new shop I hadn’t been to. Reasonable price, and also grabbed the 1792 single barrel which is also one of my favorites. Checked out another store in the area I also hadn’t visited and grabbed the Russel’s pick (never had my own and sampled a friends that was very good) and couldn’t pass up trying the OF100 for 16 bux. Hit the budget hard and have to wait to add any others but pretty stoked!
Just cracked the Blantons… it’s what I expected, bout a 50 or less bourbon in a pretty bottle but I’m enjoying it.

This is a lineup of bottles I've added to a 20 bottle collection over the past six weeks and I've been on a small spree compared to my usual purchase every two weeks or so. I make a habit of giving them all a regular taste with friends and generally kill a bottle every 2-3 weeks so there's a solid rotation. That Wild Turkey is actually a gift for my sister's grad school party! I know we all love Buff Trace products and I have some ER/Blanton's on hand but it's hard to find anything for MSRP in the Chicago area. The irony of being from Kentucky and having just as hard a time finding well ..read more

Hey everyone! Looking for recommendations for a Rye whiskey! I usually just drink straight bourbon. I like it room temp and neat. To my recollection, I have not tried any rye whiskey so I will take whatever you got!

Can’t really tell which of these I like the best. I really love the sweet richness of the 101 8 year old, the pleasant forgotten balance of the rye, and the unique funk from the Rare Breed bourbon. I also have a special affinity for the Russell’s 10 as that was my first “nice” bourbon.
What’s your favorite turkey product?
