Global electronic dance music’s post-pandemic boom continues three years after the worldwide shutdown, as the latest IMS Business Report shows that total industry revenues grew by 17 percent in 2023. Today, the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) announced that it will roll out new rules requiring airlines to automatically give travelers cash refunds for canceled and significantly delayed flights. Airlines must issue these refunds within seven days of a canceled or delayed flight. Though they will still be allowed to offer another flight or travel credit instead, customers can reject the offer in favor of a refund, according to the Associated Press.  Currently, airlines can choose how long a delay must last before issuing refunds. The U.S. Senate passed legislation Tuesday that would force ByteDance, the Chinese parent company of TikTok, to sell the social media platform or face a ban from U.S. app stores. The TikTok ultimatum was included in a larger package of legislation that provides foreign aid to Ukraine and Israel. San Francisco’s famous Temple Nightclub will close its doors for good on May 25, according to a state filing.
