A new documentary film about Avicii is set to premiere at New York City’s Tribeca Film Festival this summer. Avicii – I’m Tim will be screened at Tribeca in the festival’s Spotlight Documentary category, and features never-before-seen interviews with former Avicii collaborators Aloe Blacc and Coldplay’s Chris Martin, according to Billboard. Tomorrowland Brazil has just revealed the lineup for its return to São Paulo. The world-renowned festival will return to Itu, São Paulo’s Parque Maeda, from October 11-13, 2024. Spotify is developing a new “remix” feature that would allow users to speed up, slow down, and mash up songs within the app, according to a report from The Wall Street Journal. The new feature would also allow users to save edited tracks for repeat listening and share them with other Spotify users. However, these user-generated remixes will not be sharable on third-party social media platforms. Band Develops Bionic Arm So Plants Can Play Live Instruments

A Manchester, UK-based music collective has built a device that gives a living plant the power to “play” musical instruments. The group, known as Bionic and the Wires, creates electronic music compositions with plants, combining “botanical rhythms with atmospheric textures and soundscapes created by synthesizers,” according to their website. The group’s “bionic robot arm” device is capable of harnessing the naturally occurring electrical bio-signals found in all plants.
