I found this article while I was looking up about Hikaru promoting gambling to young audience. Sam Sevian, Shankland, So and Yasser Seirawan all are chiming in about how great it would be if betting was allowed on chess matches.
Do you think all these GMs are so pro gambling, especially when Seirawan is an important figure to children playing chess?

Do you think in the match Gukesh - Ding, the % of chess fans rooting for the former will vastly outnumber the latter? (Except within China).
Could you think of another match where the challenger was highly favored and pushed by media and fans ?

It's often a misconception in society that Chess players are very intelligent and can perform well at anything that requires intelligence.
Two years ago Vishy gave an interview to one of the world's best cricketers Ravi Ashwin (who also plays chess and he's about 1500 on chess com I think). In the interview, Ashwin asked Vishy about this intelligence perception, that are Chess players really generally intelligent at things. In 2018, he passed the Elo rating of 2600 at 14 years old, which at the time made him the third youngest player in history to do so. But over the next few years Pragg and Gukesh leapfrogged him and he is still stuck in the 2600s. What could have stagnated his progress?
