There isn't a lot of easily accessible information about him and his time as leader (who under him in 2005 got 3% less of the nationwide vote than Blair's Labour likely due to a high Lib Dem percentage). I find him kinda odd as an American, not only because he looks more like an optometrist than a PM but also because of his unique heritage, positions, and his "of the night" behavior. There was a BBC doc on him in 2005 but I think it's lost, so i'm open to anything in the form of video or reading helpful to my research of him (sadly not for a school project btw lol)!

I've long suspected that this role is a waste of time and money, and while local police forces must be democratically accountable to the people they serve I feel that this could simply be done through county councils.
But am I being blinkered? Are there success stories out there where the PCC has done good work?

Hello and welcome to my introduction to the 2024 Dorset Council Elections.
As I’ve written a lot the TDLR is the Conservatives are almost certain to lose control, possibly to NOC and likely to a Lib Dem majority with the Greens also making small gains.

Dorset Council consists of the whole ceremonial council of Dorset with the exception of Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole with forms it’s own Unitary Authority.
