My mum has had a tough few years looking after my terminally ill dad. With the past few months being the hardest we’ve ever been through as a family, watching my dad decline and then his final week spent in a hospice before he died. It’s still something I’m very much processing and planning to write about but for now it’s all still very raw.
With my dad being so ill, my mum had been unable to travel for the past few years and really needed a change of scene so we made a last minute booking for somewhere that had been on her bucket list for a while, The Four Seasons Hampshire. I myself was luck ..read more

I’ve always been a huge fan of boutique hotels and I’ve got a gorgeous one to recommend to you! The Queensberry Hotel is bijou perfection in the centre of the city of Bath, the ideal place for a gourmet getaway that’s baby-friendly too! Located just a few minutes walk from the Circus and the famous Royal Crescent, The Queensberry is the perfect based to explore the historic city!
Theresa has become my travel buddy and now we have little Noah along for the ride too! Fortunately, she lives near Bath so The Queensberry was the perfect meeting point.
Conceived by husband and wife team Laurence and ..read more

A stay at Port Lympne Safari Park, Wild Animal Hotel and Reserve has been on mine and Oscar’s bucketlist for a while now… and October half term felt like the perfect time to book in a stay at this unique hotel in Kent along with my sister and Oscar’s cousins, Charlie and Jackson.
To give a brief overview, Port Lympne is a safari experience located over hundreds of acres of the Kent countryside. The reserve also encompasses a hotel with multiple unique accommodations ranging in style from stylish lodges to luxury glamping. Guests can stay at the hotel or simply take a day trip to Port Lympne a ..read more

Before I had Oscar, my friend Theresa and I were always off on adventures abroad visiting Fjords in Norway, beaches in Jersey, sangria in Barcelona and eating Schnitzel in Vienna! We decided to do final staycation in the UK as we did before Oscar was born – something much more sedate than our usual wine-fuelled nights! I’m a huge fan of The Pig Hotels, having visited three already, and Theresa was keen to try her first! As she lives in Bristol and I’m in London, The Pig Near Bath is the perfect middle ground for us.
What are The Pig Hotels
There are currently eight hotels in The Pig grou ..read more

One thing I love about having Oscar is taking him to some of my favourite places and being able to see them through his eyes. Babington House, a country house hotel near Bath in Somerset is one such place, I’ve been a few times before but it makes it even more special to visit with him. Part of the Soho House Group and sister hotel to Soho Farmhouse, Babington House hits the mark of being super stylish and luxurious with high end service whilst also being relaxed, casual and informal. While the Soho House hotels are designed more with adults in mind, there are also certainly great facilities f ..read more

I was not paid for content but my night at Horwood House was complimentary.
Every mum needs a night off once in a while… to sleep in her own bed uninterrupted by little voices at 6am wanting food, milk, a bath or Peppa Pig… which was why my invitation for a bloggers trip to Horwood House came at the exact right time. I hadn’t been on a group bloggers trip since my night on the Virgin Voyages cruise ship, pre-Pandemic so I was super excited to get back into the swing of things.
The invitation was to newly refurbished Horwood House, a grade II Manor House in Buckinghamshire near Bletchley and Mi ..read more

2021 is first year in I don’t know how long that I haven’t left the country. I haven’t been outside of England, haven’t got on a plane and the only thing my passport has been useful for is for providing ID. I haven’t even travelled the UK much due to lockdowns but also due to the upheaval and cost of my renovations. Many times I’ve questioned, am I even a travel blogger any more? Well yes, I am lol and I’ll be getting back on a plane this year.
Meanwhile here is a round up of the five hotels that I stayed in this year – all in the UK.

One of the most exciting perks of being a travel blogger was going on press trips… I loved the sheer anticipation of going on such trips – meeting new people, discovering news places and being able to see behind the scenes. Even turning up to the airport was a buzz as often I didn’t know who would actually be on the trip until I got there. But now I haven’t been on a press trip for two years (pregnancy, baby, Covid etc) and I miss them! So an invitation from Original Travel to come on a mini press trip around London came just at the right time…

One night I was idly checking the Soho Farmhouse website… and saw a child-friendly room available in ten days time… by coincidence, falling on Mr S’s birthday. I just also happened to have a good sum of money in credits owing to the fact I was unable to use my membership during lockdown. I love it when a plan comes together…
And the best thing about this is was that child-friendly rooms at Soho Farmhouse are like gold dust. There’s only five of them out of 50-odd cabins in the whole resort and it’s hard to book any cabin let alone these ones. Booking needs to be done months in advance and for ..read more

The Cotswolds has quickly become one of my favourite holiday destinations in the UK and there is so much to do there for families. With that being said I thought would round up my favourite things to do.
Eat / Stay at The Wild Rabbit
A recent new favourite hotel for me and my family is The Wild Rabbit in Kingham in the Cotswolds. At this gorgeous modern British Inn you can stay in a cottage that’s the perfect size for you, really a home away from home! The food at the inn is absolutely delicious and gives modern British comfort food a gourmet twist!
