Carnival Cruise Line announced yesterday that they have entered into an agreement with the city of New Orleans and the Federal Emergency Agency (FEMA) to provide Carnival Glory as an accommodation ship for first responders through 18th September. As a result, Carnival Cruise Line have cancelled Carnival Glory’s scheduled cruise from New Orleans on 12th September and have now planned to restart cruise operations on Carnival Glory from New Orleans on 19th September. Cunard have announced that their flagship Queen Mary 2 will resume sailing operations from 28th November 2021, with two new itineraries – a three night break and 12 night voyage to the Canary Islands, both departing from Southampton. Britannia departed Southampton on 29th August on her current 7 night British Isles cruise and is scheduled to arrive back into her homeport on 5th September.
