There’s something I’ve been meaning to tell you all, but I’ve delayed making any sort of “announcement” because I wasn’t quite sure how to put this into words… But, at the end of last year, I made the decision to stop blogging. Many of you will know that I spent most of 2019 under the cloud of a “career crisis”. And after a lot of soul searching I decided it was the right time to step back from blogging. I started Coco’s Tea Party in September 2006, a few months after I turned 16, and never in my wildest dreams did I imagine it would lead to an incredible career as a digital content creator ..read more

{AD | SPONSORED POST} Longtime blog readers will know that I’ve struggled with IBS for a number of years, now. For the most part, I’ve learnt how to manage the condition. And I’ve removed all noticeable trigger foods and ingredients from my diet (onions, and any excess of gluten). However, I still have bouts of IBS. So it felt like a good idea to take a food intolerance test, to highlight any other triggering ingredients that I hadn’t previously identified. And that is where YorkTest comes in… YorkTest is an award winning Food Intolerance & Allergy Testing company, providing super-easy, a ..read more

Last Christmas Was S**t. Here’s How I’m Making This One Better

Andy Williams wasn’t wrong when he sang “It’s the most wonderful time of the year.” The festive season has always been my favourite time of the year! I love Christmas movies, Christmas music, and all of the sparkle and decorations. It fills me with joy to see everyone in such a happy, celebratory mood. I squeal with delight when I spot toddlers dressed up as reindeer, elves or Christmas puddings. And, as an extrovert, I love the fact there is so much to do, and so many people to see. However, last Christmas I was absolutely miserable. Throughout 2019, I’ve tried to be as open as possible abou ..read more

What do you have planned for the weekend? My parents are getting two adorable kittens tomorrow, and I’m soooo excited to visit them! Christmas is definitely going to be a lot of fun, with two little cuties running about. And, aside from kitten cuddles, I’m hoping to spend a generous chunk of the weekend curled up on the sofa, reading the Winter Street series by Elin Hilderbrand. I’m currently on book two, and it’s perfect December reading! ~ NASCAR driver Julia Landauer shares her beauty uniform. If you were obsessed with The O.C. you must read this piece on The Cut. “…the show’s first annual ..read more

It’s the season of gift giving, and the ideal time to show gratitude for your own good fortune by helping others. And here are three worthy ways to give back over the holidays… 1. Donate to a food bank Over 14 million people are living in poverty, within the UK. And 4.5 million of those are children. So, tragically food banks are now needed more than ever. You can help by donating to The Trussell Trust’s Christmas Appeal. Or find out how to donate necessary food and supplies to your local food bank here. I’ve been told it’s really important to check with your local food bank before donating ..read more

What I Read This Month: November 2019

I’ve finally started to get back on track with my reading habits (I read very little throughout October), which is a massive relief. But, unfortunately, it’s mostly been a pretty uninspiring month. I finished five books, throughout November, and gave the majority of these titles a 2 or 3 star review on Goodreads. Thankfully there was one saving grace though… Such a Fun Age by Kiley Reid, which comes out in January. It’s already being described as “2020’s most hotly anticipated novel”, and I was lucky enough to receive an advance copy. It’s reeeeally good, so trust me when I say you need to pr ..read more

I’m soooo pleased the weekend is in sight! The past two weeks have been amazing, with so many fun events that took place back-to-back. But, because I’ve been so busy, other things have fallen to the wayside; namely: yoga classes, housework, reading and content creation. So I’m excited to reset this weekend, get all my ducks in a row, and head into the final week of November with a real spring in my step. What are your plans for the weekend? ~ I loved this post on Man Repeller, ranking the believability of TV and movie BFFs. Spoiler alert: the SATC ladies are listed as the least realistic, whi ..read more

My Favourite Winter Accessories

This winter my goal is to make more ambitious fashion choices, and not just fall into the trap of wearing the same old boring outfit over and over again. (When it’s freezing cold outside I have a habit of wearing skinny jeans, Uniqlo heat-teach and a chunky knit every single day, which gets unbelievably boring). So far I’ve managed to keep a lot of variety in my A/W wardrobe, but the coldest weather hasn’t hit us yet, so there’s still time for me to slip into lazy dressing habits. And that’s why I’ve been prioritising winter accessories. I figured if my accessories game is strong, I can easil ..read more

I feel like the holiday season well and truly kicked off, this week, because my diary was crammed with festive events. On Monday evening I was lucky enough to attend the UK premiere of Last Christmas, which was held at the BFI on London’s Southbank. It felt like such a special London moment, and I highly recommend the movie – Emma Thompson has so many hilarious lines. I also went to two Christmas light switch-on events, during the week. And festive decorations are up, throughout the city, which is so cheerful! If you’re also getting into the festive spirit, there are a few holiday season link ..read more
