All my life I have feared any situation where I might be expected to dance. I have no ability whatsoever. I'm stiff, off-beat, and have zero moves. I want to learn how to dance so I can rekindle my marriage.
Where should people like me start learning and getting comfortable with the absolute basics? Youtube tutorials? Paid classes? Anything very specifc?
My wife and I are late 20s and we mostly like hip-hop/rap, EDM, 80s dance, and a little R&B, so I'm looking for generalized skills or something leaning towards simple dances for clubs and events.

What kind of dancing were they doing in this scene?
https://youtu.be/UsxIXyyENhs?si=bxERQKdC3NZZpwyb
I literally know NOTHING Abt dancing but I'm trying to look up reference images for a specific dance position I saw in this scene but I can't seem to figure out what it's called nor can I find the kind of dance it is anywhere no matter how hard I look. This is pretty much a last ditch effort ?

Hey everyone,
I recently had an injury that sidelined me from dancing for a while, and now that I'm healed up, I'm finding it hard to regain my confidence on the dance floor. It's like I'm hesitant and self-conscious about every move, even though dancing used to be my passion.
Do any fellow dancers out there have tips or advice on how to overcome this mental block and get back into the groove? Whether it's techniques to rebuild confidence or exercises to ease back into dancing, I'm all ears!
Thanks in advance for the support!

Hi! I live on the fourth floor of a pretty old apartment building and just walking can send somewhat intense vibrations down to my neighbours so I don’t want to imagine what dancing would do.
Does anybody have any advice to help this?
