The Aborigines called it a Walkabout, the Native American’s referred to it as a Vision Quest. Whatever you choose to call it, I needed it. I had been planning this hike for quite some time. It would take me a little over two hours to drive and six hours on foot to reach my destination. Twin Falls of Richland Creek in the Ozark mountains of Arkansas has been on my bucket for over a year. There are several ways to get there but I chose the one said to be the most challenging coming in from the north from Hill cemetery and boy did it not disappoint. With my pack loaded and my fear checked at the ..read more

You know what they say, when the going get’s tough the tough retreats until they get their shit together and come back even stronger. Whew, what a year this has been so far. First off, I know my blog looks different. I had to rebuild everything! Getting crazy server error and found some hidden redirects in the code. Yep, I was hacked…fuckers. Anyway I’m back! So, if you find that some links or images are missing from past posts I apologize…ok actually I don’t, just deal with it. You see here’s the thing I’ve learned this year, I’m done with giving a shit about what people think ..read more

[bctt tweet=”Things that were important can become suddenly nonexistent. Live in the moment and accept the things that you cannot change.” username=”@harlow_kane”] I read a book in July called “Something More” by Sarah Ban Breathnach and it, along with several other series of events this year, changed my life…opened my eyes…forever. I’m not the same person I was this time last year and so grateful to the universe for that. I realize now I was in a bad place, both physically and spiritually. I was in a toxic environment, surrounded by toxic thoughts. and toxic people. Granted, somethings stil ..read more

Snuffing OUT a false twin flame. Signs you are dealing with a twin flame imposter.

False Twin Flames are someone you meet that you share a deep spiritual connection with BUT, in the end, they are energy suckers.  Advanced enough to latch onto your metaphysical energy and literally drain the life out of you. This is on a soul level and neither party will be aware that it is happening until the victim is numb and finally walks away. I know what you’re thinking.  This sounds like an empath/narcissist relationship.  Well, it does because most of the time it IS. A true twin flame reunion on this plane is rare and can be extraordinary catastrophic because they are all consuming ..read more

Ten things I wish I knew about becoming an author I didn’t know before. 1. Woohoo! I wrote a book! From that point on, I didn’t know I would become a saleswoman (because no, books do not sell themselves without advertising and marketing). 2. I didn’t know being an author would be more than a full-time job. 3. I didn’t know authors had to be proficient at website building & maintenance or Google docs, sheets, & forms. Basically, authors need to be the jack of all trades. 4. Newsletters? I’m supposed to email those out? 5. Reader acronyms. It took me two months to figure out what HE ..read more

A Letter to the Woman I Never Knew

To the woman I never knew, You left me twenty-seven years ago.  That’s a long time for a little girl to be without her mother. I remember you had hair that would shine bright auburn in the summer sun and how your green eyes sparkled when you smiled. I remember you teaching me how to shave my legs and letting me drive your car.  I remember you always dancing and humming to some silent song. I remember your favorite color was green and the little birdcage music box that played ‘Love Story’ that you cherished but I never knew why. I forgot what our last lucid conversation was about.  I forgot the ..read more
