Last year we had 18 people come to us to report hatching eggs scams from people impersonating our farm. One person even met a customer in a Tractor Supply parking lot and used my name in person! Golden Crele Legbar is a beautiful autosexing breed offering a consistent supply of large, light blue to green tinted eggs and lay earlier than many breeds. Many of the offspring produced from the original Cream Crested Legbar imported to the US in 2010 developed warm tones in their feathering setting them apart from the original pastel and gray toned Cream birds. Over time, a rich reddish-gold color began to diverge from the original lines, especially the hackles on the females. This smooth rooster, named Frankie, will be the head of our first Frizzle Mille Fleur Booted Bantam breedings this spring. He will be over only frizzle hens, offering a 50/50 chance of frizzle hatching eggs. Their ‘boots’ need to be kept clean, which means keeping a tidy and dry run and coop.
