  I am fully aware that no one gives a shit about my commentary on recipe posts, but I do want to take a moment to talk about why I really prefer berries over most other fruit when it comes to breakfast food.  Berries typically have a lot less sugar and a lot more fiber than other fruit, but they also pack a ton of flavor and a bigger antioxidant punch.   When I was younger, I definitely thought I was gonna one of those supermoms who cooked a full breakfast, worked all day, and still put out a 4-course dinner each night. As it turns out, I am not. At all. Now, I consider it a victory if I can throw together three ingredients once Tulie is asleep. So, I design all of my meal plans to be plans I know I could realistically follow.   I have a love/hate relationship with sangria.  It’s always delicious when you order it out...as are MOST drinks that are loaded with sugar.  It’s really hard to find a sangria recipe that doesn’t have actual sugar added (like you’re making Kool-Aid) or at least tons of juice, which might as well be straight sugar.  If I’m catching a buzz then the last thing I need to be doing is pumping sugar through my veins, you know?
