A Fun Addition to the Garden {Allium}
Little Farmstead by Julie
by Little Farmstead

Hi Friends! I hope your month of June is off to a good start. Can you spot the little treasures from the garden in our farmhouse bedroom? My mom gifted me with some allium bulbs last year and I absolutely love the whimsy they add to the garden! I usually refer to these as the "Horton Hears a Who" flowers, but their scientific name is, "Allium."  Are you growing anything new in your flower garden this year? I'd love to hear! Xo ..read more

A Simple Spring /Summer Entryway...
Little Farmstead by Julie
by Little Farmstead
5y ago
Hi Friends ~ I hope you're doing well and enjoying the last full month of spring! Today, I wanted to share a very simple, quick, and budget-friendly way to freshen up your entryway... While I sometimes use a small bench in this space, a simple wood chair (the more aged character, the better in my opinion!) works well too. Yard sale season is now here, so keep your eyes open for one-of-a-kind accent chairs that don't take up a lot of space, and can be used in vignettes and for extra seating. Next, clip whatever is blooming outdoors, or simply fill a large mason jar with greenery from your yard ..read more

Hi Friends ~ I hope your week is going well! It's the season I wait for all year... lilac season! Along with the beautiful and fragrant flowers, comes more sunshine, blue skies, and more daylight! The boys dust off their bikes, and I start working in the vegetable garden again... We're enjoying these gorgeous days and starting to itch for the freedom of summer! I thought it would be fun to share some images of the lilacs from our yard, photographed in the barn. (I think our sheep, who sleep in one of the barn stalls at night, are enjoying the scent too! :) This time of year reminds me of a ..read more

Happy May! I hope you're enjoying the beauty of spring, May flowers, and lots of sunshine! If not yet, hang in there - they're coming!  Today I thought I'd share a few peeks into our shop space inside of M&M Antiques in Monroe, WA... We're stocked with my favorite farmhouse candles, grain sack pillows, and galvanized containers. I recently brought in the windmill (above) that came from a farm in Missouri. It would make such great wall art - either inside or on a porch. Chippy tables and an extra long chippy white wood bench (below) are also available. While shipping is not currently a ..read more

Three Simple Ideas For Your Farmhouse Dinner Table...
Little Farmstead by Julie
by Little Farmstead
5y ago
Hi Friends! We're enjoying some beautiful spring weather here in the Pacific Northwest... That, along with a visit from my husband's parents, helped motivate us to get the grill cleaned up for the season. Once we start using the grill again, it just seems like there are so many more options for dinner!  As I was getting dinner ready, I thought of three little additions for the table that really help make it feel just a bit more "farmhouse" special. None of these are earth-shattering, but I thought I'd mention them in case you, like me, had forgotten about them over the fall and winter months ..read more
